Privacy Policy.
Last updated: October 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Sophron® ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you use Your Finance Job at yourfinancejob.com, including its job board and its connector for AI assistants (the "Site"). Your Finance Job is a product of Sophron®.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully.
This Privacy Policy also applies to the Your Finance Job mobile application for iOS (the "App"), distributed through the Apple App Store. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be amended by us from time to time. We therefore advise you to regularly review this Privacy Policy for any changes. The amended privacy policy will be published on the Site, stating the date on which the changes take effect. In the event of substantial or significant changes that may significantly affect one or more data subjects, we will endeavor to inform these data subjects directly.
Personal Data We Collect
We collect personal information about you from various sources, including directly from you, through your use of the Site, and from service providers such as Cloudflare and Firebase.
Information You Provide Directly:
- Name and email address
- Account details (password, handled by our sign-in provider and never readable by us)
- Your tracker: starred roles, application stages, notes, lists, reminders, watches, followed and hidden firms and roles, role filters and saved searches
- Your email settings
- CV data, if you upload a CV, and the "About you" details you choose to fill in on your account page
- Customer support interactions and reports about roles on the board
Information We Collect Automatically (Usage Data):
- IP address, device and browser type, and the pages requested, as processed by our hosting providers
- When you are signed in, which roles you open and which you apply to, to show you your history and to improve our services (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), kept for 12 months. Views while you are signed out are counted without being linked to anyone.
- Where you first came to the Site from: the campaign details in the link you followed, the name of the website that linked to us (not the full address) and the page you arrived on. It is kept in your browser for 90 days and added to your account when you create one or sign in, so that we can see which of our campaigns and partners bring people to the Site.
- Counts of how often a signed-in member uses the connector for AI assistants
Use of Personal Data
We use your personal data for the following purposes and on the following legal basis:
- Account Management and the TrackerPurpose: providing your account, the tracker, reminders and the emails you switch on, on the Site and in the App.Legal Basis: Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Use of Your CV and Profile by AssistantsPurpose: letting AI assistants you connect yourself read your analysed CV and "About you" details to tailor answers and drafts to you. They read your profile only with your permission, and the assistant you connect also asks for your permission first.Legal Basis: Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given with the switch "Let my assistants read my profile" on your account page. You can withdraw this consent at any time.
- Your NetworkPurpose: the networking tracker under Tools: the people you know or want to meet, your chats with them, and reminders to follow up (see "Your Network" below).Legal Basis: Performance of a contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); for the details of the people in your network, our and your legitimate interest in providing and using this tool (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You choose which contacts to add, and their details are stored because they are needed to provide the networking tracker to you.
- Found This WeekPurpose: sending the weekly edition, for the cities you pick, to the email address you subscribed with on the Weekly page: either an address you confirmed from the email we sent (no account needed), or, when you are signed in, your account's already confirmed address. We store only the address, your cities, when you subscribed and which editions were sent to it.Legal Basis: Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every edition.
- Contact About OpportunitiesPurpose: contacting you about roles or programmes that may fit you, only if you switch on "Sophron® may contact me about opportunities".Legal Basis: Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time.
- Security and Fraud PreventionPurpose: detecting and preventing unauthorized access and misuse of the connector.Legal Basis: Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Improve our ServicesPurpose: analyzing usage in aggregate to improve the board and the connector.Legal Basis: Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We do not carry out fully automated decision-making about individuals within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.
We use automated data processing methods, including AI-based tools, for the following purposes:
- CV Structuring: if you upload a CV, its text is analyzed with AI models (Anthropic, as our processor) to extract and structure relevant data (such as skills, education, and experience), so that assistants you connect yourself can use it to tailor answers and drafts to you. They receive only this structured data and your "About you" details, never the CV file itself. This analysis does not score or rank you, is not shared with the firms listed on the Site, and does not lead to any decision about you.
AI Assistants You Connect
If you connect your own AI assistant (such as Claude or ChatGPT) to Your Finance Job, that assistant reads the board and your tracker through our connector with your permission. Its provider processes that data under its own terms and privacy policy. We keep a record of the connection and count its requests.
CVs and cover letters you make under Tools are stored under your account so that you can edit and download them on any device; you can delete them there at any time, and each one is deleted automatically 24 months after you last opened or saved it.
Until 10 October 2026 the Site had its own AI assistant, with credits. It has been switched off. Data from that time is deleted on the same schedule as before: conversations saved with that assistant 12 months after they were last opened, and the pseudonymised codes used to prevent repeated claims of free credits 24 months after the free credits were granted. All of it is deleted earlier when you use "Delete my Your Finance Job data" or "Delete my account" on your account page, or ask us to delete it.
Your Network
Networking, under Tools, keeps track of the people you know or want to meet. You can import your LinkedIn data export or add people yourself.
You choose which contacts to add: when you import your export, you pick the people to keep track of, and only the people you pick are saved. Their details are stored because they are needed to provide the networking tracker to you.
What we store: for each person you add, the details from your LinkedIn connections file (name, firm, position, profile link and the date you connected; not their email address, even where the file contains one), what you add yourself (stage, notes, the chats you log, a planned chat and a follow-up date), and, if you include your messages file, per person only the date of the last message in each direction, the number of messages and whether a reply is outstanding.
Your messages: if you upload your LinkedIn messages file, it is read in your own browser. The text of your messages is never sent to us or stored by us.
How it is used: only to show you your network, remind you to follow up (in the email you receive from us and, if you subscribe to it, in your own calendar), and, when you ask an assistant you connected about your network, to answer you; that assistant then receives the names, firms, positions, dates and your notes it needs. We never contact the people in your network, do not use their details for any other purpose, and do not combine them with other data about them.
Calendar link: the calendar link in Networking is private to you. Anyone who has it can see the names and dates it contains, so do not share it; you can make a new link at any time, which switches the old one off.
You can remove one person or your whole network at any time. Your network is also deleted when you delete your Your Finance Job data or your account on your account page, or your account in the App.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Site does not use advertising, marketing or analytics cookies. It uses only functional storage in your browser that is necessary for the Site to work: your sign-in session, your language, your filters and view settings, and where you first came to the Site from (described above). Signing out removes what this browser keeps about your account. Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary security cookie. For more on cookies used by Cloudflare, visit: https://www.cloudflare.com/cookie-policy/. For more on cookies used by Firebase, visit: https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.
Mobile Application (iOS)
The following additional terms apply when you use our iOS App. The App uses the same account and back-end services (including Firebase) described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy. You can create an account, sign in, and delete your account and its data from within the App. The App does not send push notifications and does not contain analytics or advertising tools.
Apple as a Third Party
The App is distributed via the Apple App Store. Apple Inc. acts as an independent party and may collect information in connection with your download and use of the App (for example, App Store account data, and diagnostic, crash, and performance data where you have enabled sharing). This processing is governed by Apple's own privacy policy, available at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
Cookies and Identifiers in the App
The App does not use browser cookies. In their place, it uses on-device storage and identifiers used by our service providers, including Firebase, to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and operate core features. The "Cookies and Tracking Technologies" section above applies to the Site; this section governs the equivalent technologies in the App.
Sharing of Personal Data
We may share your personal data with:
| Type of Data | Recipients |
|---|---|
| Account, tracker, CV data, saved CVs and cover letters | Firebase and Google Cloud (sign-in, database, file storage) |
| CV text, to structure it (see "Use of Personal Data") | Anthropic (AI models) |
| Email address and email content | Resend (email delivery) |
| Usage data and IP address | Cloudflare and Firebase (hosting and security) |
| Email address and usage counts, in alerts about unusually heavy use | Telegram (internal alerts to our team) |
| App download and diagnostic data | Apple (App Store, as an independent party; see "Mobile Application (iOS)") |
We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with advertisers, and Your Finance Job does not share your profile or CV with the firms listed on the Site. If you are also a member of an investment club operated by Sophron®, such as the Amsterdam Investment Club, your CV is the same file as on your club account, and the club's privacy policy describes how the club may use it, including for its recruitment services. We may disclose personal data where required by law.
We do not ask for special categories of personal data, such as information about your health. If you include such details in your CV, we process them only to provide the Services to you, and we recommend leaving them out.
Children's Privacy
Our services are not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Data Retention
We do not retain your personal data longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed. Tracker and profile data, saved CVs and cover letters and your network are kept until you remove them yourself or use "Delete my Your Finance Job data" or "Delete my account" on your account page (or delete your account in the App). Your Sophron® account and your CV belong to your Sophron® account, which is shared with the clubs Sophron® operates, and are deleted separately: deleting your Your Finance Job data does not delete them, and deleting your account at a club does not delete your Your Finance Job data. Your CV is kept until you replace it or delete your Sophron® account. Saved CVs and cover letters are deleted 24 months after you last opened or saved them, or earlier if you delete them. In addition, we may retain personal data that is necessary in the context of legal proceedings, complaints, and disputes for longer if this is necessary to protect our interests.
Security of Your Data
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to secure your data and prevent unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure.
- TLS/HTTPS Encryption: all connections to the Site, the connector and our back-end services are encrypted in transit.
- Access Control: your data is only accessible with your own sign-in or with an access token you granted to an assistant; our services use token-based authentication with expiration, and the routes used by browsers also verify the origin of the request. An AI assistant can never grant itself access to your CV.
- Data Encryption at Rest: our database and file storage automatically encrypt all data at rest.
- Logging & Monitoring: security events and access attempts are logged and monitored.
Your Privacy Rights
Under privacy legislation, you have a number of rights with regard to your personal data and its processing.
- Right of access. This is the right to ask us whether we hold any personal data about you and to access it.
- Right to rectification. You can ask us to change any personal data that is incorrect or incomplete.
- Right to be forgotten. In some cases, you have the right to have your personal data deleted by us, for example when your personal data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which we obtained it.
- Right to restriction. This is the right to have less personal data processed or to temporarily stop processing. You can request this, for example, if you believe that your personal data is incorrect.
- Right to data portability. When we process your personal data on the basis of an agreement or consent, you have the right to data portability. This is the right to receive your personal data from us so that you can forward this data to another party.
- Right to object. You may object to the processing of your personal data.
- Withdrawal of your consent. If you have given us consent to process your personal data, you may withdraw that consent at any time. This withdrawal does not affect the processing of your personal data before you withdrew your consent. Most consents, including reading of your CV by assistants, can be switched off directly on your account page.
To exercise your rights:
To exercise your rights, please contact us via the email address associated with your account. We may request additional information to verify your identity, but we will only request a copy of your ID if we cannot verify your identity through other, less intrusive means.

We use third-party service providers (such as Cloudflare, Firebase and Google Cloud, Anthropic and Resend) that may process data in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including the United States. Part of our back-end services runs in the United States.
When we transfer data to these countries, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as:
