Let your assistant do the searching.
Connect the tracker once to Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor or VS Code. Then ask in plain words: what is new at JPMorgan, show me the off-cycle M&A internships, remind me of the Lazard deadline, draft my application from my own CV. Banking, trading, consulting, private equity, asset management and technology, over 14,000 roles at over 1,000 firms. It signs in with your account and only ever sees your own data. With your permission it can manage your whole account for you: stars, stages, lists, reminders, email, filters, followed firms and your profile. Free.
https://mcp.yourfinancejob.com/mcpLooking for the technical reference? The job tracker MCP server page has the transport, the OAuth details, copy-paste config for every client and all 41 tools.
See what it hands back.
It does not just find roles. Ask for a summary, a dashboard or a document and it writes one. These three came out of one sentence each.
The clips show the exchange. The roles and the counts in them are real, pulled from this board on 21 September 2026.
Things people ask it.
No syntax. Say what you want; the assistant picks the right tool. Tap one and it answers here, from the live board, before you have connected anything. Only about a fifth of the board is trading, so the lenses below are where the rest of it lives.
Nine briefs, ready made.
Each one pulls the data itself and hands your assistant a finished brief. In Claude they appear under the connector; in Claude Code they are slash commands; everywhere else ask for them by name.
Weekly digest
Everything posted in the last days, the firms you follow first, with your tracked applications on top. Optional city.
Firm brief
One firm: what kind of firm it is, what is open, what changed, where its offices are, and your history with it.
City brief
One city: what is open there today, the busiest firms, the roles that fit you, the events coming up.
List brief
One of the ready-made lists read for you: what it holds, which firms, the newest additions, the fits.
Application plan
Your starred and tracked roles turned into a week-by-week plan with the deadlines that bite first.
Deadline calendar
Roles and events closing in the next days, optionally one country, as a calendar you can act on.
Compare roles
Two roles side by side: level, location, what the posting asks for, how they sit in your pipeline.
Prep checklist
For one role: what to read, what to practise, what to have ready, built from the posting and the firm.
Draft my application
The posting joined to your own CV profile: a motivation letter, the usual application answers, and an honest list of the gaps. You edit it and send it.
What it can do.
Forty-one tools, in five groups. If you want it to, your assistant can manage everything on your account: stars, stages, notes, lists, reminders, email, role filters, followed firms, hidden firms and your profile. It writes to the same account record the site uses, so what it does shows up here, and the other way round. Two things stay with you: allowing it to use your profile, and uploading your CV.

About two minutes. Pick your assistant; the steps change with your choice.
Claude, start to finish
No sound. Every assistant has the same shape: add a connector, paste the one URL, sign in once, allow access. Jump to any step.
Claude.ai in the browser, the desktop app and the mobile apps. Every plan can add it; the Free plan allows one custom connector, so this would be it.
Open Settings (your initials, bottom left), then Connectors. Newer versions list it under Customize, then Connectors.
Click Add custom connector. Name it Jobs, paste the server URL from the top of this page, click Add.
Leave Advanced settings empty: no client id, no secret, no headers.
Jobs now sits in your connector list. Click Connect on its row. A Sophron page opens: sign in with your password, or ask for a login code by email, then click Allow access.
You can revoke this at any time from Claude's connector settings.
Start a new chat. Click + at the bottom of the message box, open Connectors, make sure Jobs is on. The nine briefs are listed under Jobs in that same menu.
On a Team or Enterprise plan an owner adds the connector once under Organization settings; every member then clicks Connect and signs in as themselves. Connected before the briefs existed? Disconnect and connect once more.
Ask it something. The first time it uses each tool, Claude asks for permission: choose Always allow and it stops asking for that tool. When this service is updated Claude may ask once more; choose Always allow again.
On a Team or Enterprise plan an owner can set the tools to Always allow for everyone under Organization settings, Connectors.
Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu accounts, on the web. Search and your pipeline work; the ready-made briefs are Claude only, so ask in your own words.

Stuck?
I cannot find Developer mode
It is only there on a paid plan (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu) and only in a browser on a computer. On a work or school account an admin may have switched it off; ask them to allow custom apps, or use a personal account.
There is no Create button
Developer mode is still off, or the page needs a refresh after you switched it on. Close Settings, reload chatgpt.com and open Apps & Connectors again.
The sign-in page says my email is not verified
Open the link in the welcome mail from Your Finance Job first, then click Connect on the Jobs app again. No account yet? Create one, it is free.
ChatGPT answers without using Jobs
Check that Jobs is switched on under + and Developer mode in this chat, then start the question with "Use Jobs to…". ChatGPT only uses an app you name or switch on.
Too much hassle?
Claude does the same thing with fewer steps and works on its Free plan: connect Claude instead.
The terminal, the VS Code and JetBrains extensions, and the desktop app. One command, one sign-in.
/mcp and Authenticate.
In a terminal, run:
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user jobs
--scope user makes it available in every project; leave it out to keep it to the current folder.
Start Claude Code and type /mcp. Pick jobs, choose Authenticate; your browser opens the Sophron page. Sign in, click Allow access; the terminal notices on its own.
The briefs are now slash commands: /jobs:weekly_digest, /jobs:firm_brief Optiver, /jobs:application_plan, /jobs:deadline_calendar, /jobs:compare_roles, /jobs:prep_checklist, /jobs:application_draft. Attach sophron://me/pipeline or sophron://tracker/stats with @.
Added it without --scope user? Run claude mcp remove jobs and add it again.
Cursor 1.0 or later. Remote MCP servers with OAuth work out of the box.
Open Cursor Settings (⌘ Shift J on a Mac, Ctrl Shift J on Windows), then Tools & MCP, click New MCP Server.
Paste this into the mcp.json that opens (or into ~/.cursor/mcp.json for every project) and save:
{
"mcpServers": {
"jobs": { "url": "" }
}
}Back in the list, Jobs shows Needs login. Click it. Sign in on the Sophron page, click Allow access. The dot turns green and the tools are listed.
In the agent chat the Jobs tools are on. Ask in plain words, or type / to see the briefs if your version lists MCP prompts.
VS Code 1.99 or later, with Copilot in agent mode.
Open the Command Palette (⌘ Shift P or Ctrl Shift P) and run MCP: Add Server. Choose HTTP, paste the server URL, name it jobs, pick User so it is available in every workspace.
Or by hand in mcp.json:
{
"servers": {
"jobs": { "type": "http", "url": "" }
}
}Click Start above the server entry (or MCP: List Servers, jobs, Start). VS Code asks whether the server may sign you in; allow it. Sign in on the Sophron page, click Allow access.
In Copilot Chat, switch to Agent mode. The Jobs tools are in the tool picker; ask in plain words.
Any client that speaks MCP over Streamable HTTP with OAuth 2.1 (dynamic client registration, PKCE).
Add a remote HTTP server with this URL:
No API key, no headers. The client discovers the OAuth endpoints itself and registers on first use.
On first use it opens the Sophron sign-in page. Sign in, click Allow access. Tokens last 30 days; reconnect after that.
Forty-one tools, nine prompts (the briefs) and five resources: sophron://me/pipeline, sophron://tracker/stats, sophron://firms/<name>, sophron://lists, sophron://cities.
Questions.
What does it see?
The public board (the same roles, firms and events as this site) and your own record: stars, stages, notes, lists, reminders, watches, email settings, and, only if you allow it on your account page, your profile: what we extracted from the CV you uploaded here (university, study, skills, languages, that sort of thing) plus the details you added yourself. Nothing about any other member, and never your CV file itself. The sign-in page names the assistant that is asking, and you can revoke it in the assistant's settings any time.
Does it apply for me?
It drafts; you send. Ask it to draft an application and it joins the posting to your own CV profile and writes a motivation letter, the usual application answers, and an honest list of what the role wants that your CV does not show. It will not invent a degree, a grade or a year of experience you do not have. Nothing is submitted to a firm from here: you edit the draft and send it on the firm's own site, where every role links.
Where does it get my CV from?
The one you uploaded to Your Finance Job. We run it through an extraction step and keep the result as a short profile on your account; that profile is what your assistant reads, not the PDF. A new CV takes up to a day to be analysed. No CV on file yet, or assistant access switched off, means the drafts come back generic, and it will tell you so. You upload or replace your CV, add details it does not show, and switch assistant access on or off under Profile on your account page.
Does it cost anything?
Connecting your own assistant costs nothing: the tracker and the connector are free, with no limit beyond a fair-use rate.
Can it manage my account for me?
Yes, if you want it to. Everything you can set on your account page it can set when you ask: stars, stages, notes and lists, reminders and watches, your email settings and role filters, the firms you follow or hide, and the details in your profile. Your profile it only reads or edits once you allow it under Profile on the account page; that permission, and uploading your CV, only you can do. It never applies to a firm for you.
Will what it does show up here?
Yes, at once. A star from Claude is a star on the tracker; a stage set on the site is what your assistant reports. One record, two ways in.
Something is off with a role or a firm.
Ask the assistant to report it, or write to [email protected]. A reported posting is checked by hand.
Two minutes now, then just ask.
Create an account, verify the email, paste one URL into your assistant. From then on the board comes to you.
